Effects of Surface Pretreatment of Titanium Substrates on Properties of Electrophoretically Deposited Biopolymer Chitosan/Eudragit E 100 Coatings

چکیده

The preparation of the metal surface before coating application is fundamental in determining properties coatings, particularly roughness, adhesion, and corrosion resistance. In this work, chitosan/Eudragit E 100 (chit/EE100) were fabricated by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) both their microstructure investigated. present research aimed at characterizing effects pretreatment titanium substrate, applied voltage, time on physical, mechanical, electrochemical coatings. coating’s microstructure, topography, thickness, wettability, behavior examined. process parameters influenced morphology which affected properties. Coatings with best properties, i.e., uniformity, proper thickness hydrophilicity, highest adhesion to resistance, obtained after chit/EE100 nanotubular oxide layers produced previous oxidation.
